This type of EDU is gaining traction (pun intended) in high end electric vehicles thanks to their ability to perform toque vectoring. The main performance benefits of torque vectoring are increased traction and improved driving dynamics. ⚡𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘅: Within the E-Mobility revolution the development of controllable 3-phase electric motors to provide tractive or propulsive effort has been one of the biggest technological shifts. The biggest advancement in terms of performance has come from the development of permanent magnet motors. Of course, the other technologies which do not use permanent magnets are also credible and have their place. But for most electric vehicles it will be very difficult to achieve all the performance metrics and goals without this amazing material. The permanent magnet is key and we believe it will be an attractive force for the continued growth of EV's. But achieving the target performance with the least amount of permanent magnet as possible will be essential for the long-term sustainable. Traxial's yokeless axial flux motor has a big advantage in this area.

The requirements of a commercial vehicle are different from those of a passenger car. Thanks to their compactness, yokeless axial flux motors can be installed in various drivetrain configurations: co-axial, trans-axial, or helicoidal. The driveshaft, previously connecting the bulky internal combustion engine from the front to the axles, can be removed.
