The European Migration Network (EMN) is a Europe-wide network consisting of National Contact Points (NCPs) in the EMN Member (EU Member States except Denmark) and Observer Countries (Norway, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine), the European Commission and the EMN Service Provider (ICF). EMN Belgium provides up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum in order to support policymaking in these areas in Belgium and Europe. More specifically, EMN Belgium aims to: - understand the information needs; - ensure and encourage information exchanges; - enhance the EMN's role in responding to such needs in an appropriate format. EMN Belgium includes staff members from various institutions: - the Immigration Office - the Office of Commissioner General for Refugees & Stateless Persons - Myria, the Federal Migration Centre - the Federal Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers EMN Belgium is coordinated by the Federal Public Service Interior and supported by a National Steering Group composed of the directors of the above mentioned institutions.
