🚨Breaking news!    🗞️A new Science|Business article features insights from Adel El Gammal, EERA’s Secretary General, who joins other organisations in calling for the EU’s upcoming Framework Programme 10 (FP10) to 🤝support the development of new technologies and cross-border collaboration. Advancing low-carbon technologies remains critical to achieving 🌍climate neutrality goals and strengthening 📈competitiveness. 📢Apply now for the StoRIES Project Sixth Transnational Access Call! 🔬The StoRIES’ Transnational Access initiative is open to researchers from both academia and industry, providing opportunities to conduct research across 64 renowned European facilities specialised in 🔋energy storage and related fields. 📆Mark your calendars! EERA Joint Programmes on the clean Energy tranSition for Sustainable Society (e3s) and Fuel Cells and Hydrogen (FCH) are organising a joint workshop on the 💡impact of hydrogen technologies on society. Participants will have the opportunity to analyse: ✅the multifaceted impacts of hydrogen technologies deployment   ✅the challenges facing hydrogen’s contribution to the clean energy transition The workshop will take place in 📍Italy on 26 March 2025 at the University of Turin. How can you already get involved? ✍️A call is now open for researchers to submit abstracts for presentations, dealing with topics related to both hydrogen production and hydrogen handling and use. ⌛The deadline for abstract submissions is 31 January 2025. 💼Join the Universite de Lorraine as a European Policy Officer! The Université de Lorraine, an EERA member, is looking for a new colleague 🔎specialised in the thematic area of the materials value chain, encompassing raw materials, resources, and recycling.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:  ✅Map research activities within the Lorraine academic site, as well as monitor European projects and policies.  ✅Play a key role in shaping the site’s policy influence within the materials value chain.  ✅Help expand the activities of the European Strategy Support Service. 📢From 1 January to 30 June 2025, Poland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 📰In a new Forbes article, Nils Røkke, EERA’s Vice-President, reflects on the outcomes of COP29 in Baku. 🌍For Nils, the latest climate summit, focused primarily on climate finance, serves as a call to action and a reminder of the challenges ahead. Given the fragmented outcome of COP29, which raised doubts about the credibility of the entire process, Nils highlights that COP30 will need to 🤝rebuild trust.
