Accountancy Europe welcomes the strong approval by European Parliament of Bruna Szego as the Chair-designate of the new AMLA - The EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority. While her appointment still requires confirmation by the Council of the European Union, this endorsement is a key step towards improving Europe’s efforts to tackle money laundering and the financing of terrorism. This new authority will play a vital role in ensuring consistent and effective enforcement of anti-money laundering measures across all Member States. 🗣️ Our CEO, Eelco van der Enden, says: "As the accountancy profession continues to combat money laundering, Accountancy Europe and its members are committed to supporting this new authority.
