With funding from the Australian, NSW and ACT governments, the APVI offers Councils two online tools that help track and increase solar uptake in the LGA.
SunSPOT solar potential tool educates ratepayers about the benefits of solar for them. SunSPOT users can access free, independent and reliable advice about how much solar they need, how much solar will fit on their roof and how much money they can save on their electricity bills.
And APVI's Council Solar Installation Dashboards help Councils track solar uptake in their LGA, and analyse the benefits in savings and emissions avoided.
Both tools are available when the local council takes up a modest annual subscription.
A free, standard version of SunSPOT is available Australian-wide without a subscription.
SunSPOT is a project of the Australian PV Institite and UNSW Sydney. APVI is a not for profit solar research organisation.
