Introducing an industry forum for renewable energy across APAC. Initiated by the Smart Energy Council and launching at COP29 in Baku, the Renewable Energy Council Asia-Pacific amplifies local voices, local solutions and local action to advance renewables for all.

The Smart Energy Council is pleased that the NSW Renewable Energy Planning Framework, including the Wind Energy Guidelines and Large Scale Solar Energy Guidelines, have been released today. “These updated guidelines to the current framework provide the renewables industry and communities across NSW with much needed certainty,” Smart Energy Council Chief Executive John Grimes said. The updated outline of the guidelines notes that this will allow for faster and more consistent decisions, include greater emphasis on the need for local benefits, and provide industry with greater investment certainty.
