Salesforce Women's Network hosted a very important panel discussion just over a week ago, where we discussed issues surrounding Domestic Violence and how we can collectively make a difference. We were lucky to be joined by Annabelle Daniel OAM, CEO of Women’s Community Shelters, and Karen Bevan, CEO of Full Stop to share their experience & advice. The key takeaways: - 1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime - 1 in 7 men will experience emotional abuse & 1 in 18 will experience physical or sexual abuse - Domestic violence can show up in many ways; physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial - Watch out for small changes in behaviours from your friends, family & coworkers: - They stop socialising, their spending habits change, they receive a lot of calls/ messages from their partner If you see behaviours change just ask 'Are you ok, I've noticed some changes'. We need to talk about the rise in domestic violence in all demographics to ensure that we support each other & create safe spaces for people to speak out It all starts with education in schools and government policy reforms. Danielle Mansfield Meredith Osborne-Jones thanks for inviting me discuss all things Responsible AI and early adopter insights at the 4th NSW Government Salesforce Success Community Event at Salesforce Tower. Key take aways include: 1. Focus on High-Value, Low-Risk Use Cases: Identify and prioritise two- three high-value, low-risk AI use cases to start with. 2. Pilot and Test Approach: Implement a pilot and test approach to validate AI solutions before broader scaling. 3. Pivot and adjust before scaling: Use insights and results from pilot projects to scale AI initiatives more broadly. 4. Build Responsible AI Practices: Develop and integrate AI principles and governance processes during the pilot testing phase. This is the perfect opportunity to build people capability and assign role accountability in the context of real "low risk" use cases. 5. Ethical AI Development: Create policy, processes and governance procedures to guide AI use and implementation which aligns to your organisational values, risk appetite and best practice standards such as (IEEE, NIST & The National framework for the assurance of artificial intelligence in government). 6. AI Governance: Establish robust AI governance frameworks to oversee and guide AI initiatives and decision making around use cases. This requires SME skills in AI and technology development and so an effective partnership strategy with technology vendors, which you can trust, is critical. In today's climate of doing more with less, AI has shown early adopters who have implemented AI in a safe and responsible way have achieved incredible efficiencies. At the recent WalkMe™ on Tour event, it was great to hear the fireside chat between Marijke Asscher and Stephen Edwards, the Digital Transformation Learning Lead at Suncorp Group. His top tips for implementing a digital adoption solution were: 1. Find a well-defined problem to solve that has specific and measurable pain points so you can calculate the value your solution is adding to users and your business. 2. Don't implement a digital adoption solution and then leave it unsupported, it is important to regularly review the performance of your digital adoption solutions and evolve them to keep up with changes in the underlying IT platform and/or changes to your business processes.  3.
