We had a blast at the AWS Cloud Days yesterday! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to the AWS team for their outstanding support! Some highlights: 👉 Flying the Crayon and Parallo flag in the NZ market and building connections within the software development community across SaaS/ISV, Corporate and Enterprise customers. In a market where nearly every company is (or is becoming) a software company building B2B, B2C and internal apps or data solutions in the cloud, we have so much value to offer. 👉 Spending the day with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team to deep dive into our new services designed to help companies optimise application performance, enhance end-user experience, deploy efficiently and innovate in the cloud. 👉 Celebrating the new Ai solutions our Crayon Data & Ai team deployed into production for customers in Australia and NZ. Moving from POC to Production is a big milestone for many companies, and a great opportunity to achieve the expected ROI. 👉 Speaking with the members of the dev community who got their job at the AWS Cloud Days last year. #Cloud in some instances is like parking your most valuable car in a made for purpose secure car park. The car park will charge you and look after your car, but it doesn't gurantee items could be stolen, including the car itself. The only person interested in your data's security and protection is the person and company it belongs to. House your own data, utilise an on-prem cloud as a service consumption model and get the flexability of cloud but the security and protection YOU need - not the security a cloud vendor believes you need. #Perfekt

🚨CASE STUDY🚨 How Atlassian grew from a $10,000 loan to a global enterprise with over 8,000 dedicated employees and 200,000+ customers. Here’s how Atlassian won using strategy. 1️⃣ Developers > everyone. By being crystal clear on who Atlassian serves, they were able to create tools specifically for software developers and addressing clear and specific pain points. Strategically, they were able to establish a loyal user base by deeply understanding and serving a niche market. Competitors who targeted broader markets, diluted their focus and impact, which can lead to less effective products and weaker market positioning. 2️⃣ Iteration > perfection. By iterating quickly and incorporating continuous product improvement based on user feedback, Atlassian was able to keep their tools relevant and effective, fostering user satisfaction and loyalty. Competitors aiming for "perfect" releases often had slower iterations, making their products less adaptable to user needs and market changes. 3️⃣ Free > paid. By allowing free access to basic features, Atlassian drove widespread adoption. Strategically, Atlassian minimised customer acquisition costs and leveraged organic growth through product quality (PLG, product-led growth). Competitors relied heavily on traditional sales team and upfront costs, limiting user adoption and increasing operational expenses. . These strategic choices enabled Atlassian to build a sustainable and scalable business, setting them apart from competitors. Great short interview between Mike Loder and Gavin Jones giving us some insightful stats behind #generativeai, the challenges being faced, where Australia sits on a global scale with our adoption of it and more based on our survey of over 3,000 tech leaders. Check out the full report- some key challenges outlined include; 1) Struggling to view and access the data needed, when they need it. 2)The ability to search across structured and unstructured data, find, and identify trends and relationships within the data—invaluable to successful data management and business practices—is one of the main challenges organizations currently face. 3) Speed, data silos, and data quality are a recurring challenge for organisations.
