Sounds like an internal primary or secondary index 'skew' between different systems (or just a bug). Can happen when restoring records to a database in live use when changing a schema, as the precise order that sets the foreign key mappings used by the other system will not match... This might even be a stale cache somewhere.. Hence why you should always use synthetic keys when maintaining a relationship between two distinct databases, never use internal primary or secondary keys, just asking for trouble... #databreach #australia #databases #integrity

Over the next five weeks, we'll be sharing some key insights from the Survey.   🎯 Question 1: Who is primarily responsible for API development in your organisation? 👉 Highlights: 🔸'Everyone builds APIs' was the top answer (44.3%) to the question of who is in charge of API development in their organisation, indicating a trend toward shared responsibility among teams. However, this can present several challenges, such as inconsistent standards, security vulnerabilities, and API sprawl. 🔸At the same time, 41.8% of respondents shared that their platform engineering teams are primarily responsible for API development. Super important: Why you should have multiple backups sometimes Google recently made a major error by inadvertently deleting the private Google Cloud account of UniSuper, a $125 billion Australian pension fund. This mishap left over half a million UniSuper members unable to access their accounts for nearly a week, as reported by The Guardian.
