  • Just in time for your holiday listening, Alicia's interview on the Tee for Two podcast with Karen Harding is out now! 👏🏼 Karen is a legend within the world of golf journalism and has been a champion for diversity and inclusion for decades. Anyone pushing for inclusion in golf is simply standing on the shoulders of giants like Karen. 🏌️♀️ So much ground was covered, including (of course), the Zonely journey and vision, as well as what makes our community unique, the Women in Golf Charter commitment and awards and the golf legacy Alicia want to create beyond her Pa's career too. 🏆 Karen is an absolute professional and so supportive, particularly of females working in golf who are making a difference. The research she does and the safe space she creates is just wonderful. Thank you Karen! ❤️ Take a listen at the link in the comments or wherever you get your podcasts! 🎧 We'd love to know what you think, let us know in the comments! 🤔

The latest episode of Tee for Two podcast features Alicia Nagle, the energetic founder and CEO of the social golf club and sport platform Zonely. Alicia is passionate about inclusion in sport and creating a strong sense of community within Zonely. Her commitment to this resulted in Zonely winning the Excellence in Community Engagement award at the inaugural The R&A Women in Golf Charter Awards held at Huntingdale GC in November 2024. Zonely, the first social golf club in Australia to become a signatory to the R&A Women in Golf Charter, and Alicia were also nominated for two other awards and Alicia has also received significant recognition from other bodies for her innovation in sports technology. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes in launching and growing a startup, especially for women, and I hope you enjoy hearing from Alicia about the highlights, the homework, and her vision for the future of Zonely. https://lnkd.in/gGdMSttV or your fave podcast app. Tee for Two is supported by our wonderful mission partner 13th Beach Golf Links

  • Thanks to everyone who added Zonely Founder Alicia Nagle's name as one of the inspirational female founders who deserve more recognition in this years Startup Muster report. 🥹❤️ Being alongside lady legends, extraordinary empaths and real-world rockstars like Mona Chiha, Abby Bloom, Anne-Marie Elias, Christie Whitehill, Grace Brown, Nikki Tugano, MAPPCP and Vicki Stirling is pretty darn special for her. 🥰 Let's hope that all of these women can all receive a bit more ROI given the support they provide! 🙌🏼 Some standout data: there are (obviously, sadly and annoyingly) still discrepancies for gender based funding, the average age of founders is getting older (now 47) and *no surprises* AI is climbing the charts in several key areas such as job functions and monetisation. 📈 Congratulations to Murray Hurps, Danielle H., Adam Spencer, Muhammad Jafer (PhD Computer Science) for being the "night and day" team pulling the Startup Muster Report together. It is SO much work and has a plethora of invaluable insights for the Aussie ecosystem. 👏🏼 To the team UNSW Founders who took home the best Accelerator/Incubator, well done to David Burt, Nina Juhl, Dina Titkova and so many others. Great team too. 💛 And to all of the partners who help to make it happen - there are loads! Commonwealth Bank, Vanta, Stone & Chalk, CSIRO, ACS (Australian Computer Society), Main Sequence, City of Sydney, City of Parramatta, UNSW Founders, QUT (Queensland University of Technology), Amplitude, Relevance AI, Baxter IP, Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys and The Gild Group. You can download the 2024 report at the link in the comments. 👏🏼 📸 Theresa Winters, Melanie Nguyen, 🎤 Aaron Ngan

  • Zonely won Excellence in Community Engagement at the inaugural Women In Golf Charter Awards at Huntingdale Golf Club on Friday! 🏆 The Women in Golf Charter is an initiative introduced and backed by The R&A, the global home of golf and proudly supported by the golf governing bodies here in Golf Australia, Golf NSW, PGA of Australia and WPGA Tour of Australasia. It is a global strategy to progress gender inclusion and get more women and girls playing the game of golf, but also working in the industry and taking roles in leadership and on boards. 👏🏼 The 2024 awards nominated clubs, facilities, programs and individuals who have signed up to the charter, built a dedicated action plan and executed programs, engagement and innovation for gender inclusion, progression and equity at their home club. To be in the room and get to meet so many women (and male champions!) from all over the country who are doing BRAVE work to push for more female engagement, members, employees, captains, presidents and directors was such a thrill. 🥰 Zonely was also nominated for Most Progressive Club/Facility of the Year which went to The National Golf Club / Meredith Ramadan. 🙌🏼 Alicia was in the running for Most Influential Woman in Golf as well and congratulations to Deb Kember from The Brisbane Golf Club Inc for a well deserved win! 🥇 It's humbling to be recognised for the years worth of work that has gone into the vision, purpose, community and product that is Zonely. We couldn't be prouder! 🤩 Thank you to our Zonely social golf community; the kind, friendly and legendary humans who join us, play with us and tell their friends, family and workmates to join too. Without their support and ongoing membership, we wouldn't be here today. They are why we do what we do. ❤️ To our venue partners across NSW and now VIC! Thank you for allowing us access and working with us to grow the game through a flexible arrangement and a social golf pathway. We hope to have many more venues and states on our platform next year! 🤝 To the entire team behind the WIGC and Women and Girls Engagement including Megan Carr, Virginia Irwin, Tamara Mason, Briony Wandin-Thomas and to the leadership team in James Sutherland, Gavin Kirkman, Karen Lunn and Peter Margin for their enthusiasm and dedication to this important and ambitious strategy. 🏌️♀️ To Mark Ingrey, Tanya Smith, Stuart Fraser, Michael Medway and Andrew Robb from Golf NSW for always being in our corner. 🙏 We've probably missed people. But let's keep talking and working together towards a more inclusive and equal playing field for golf. ⛳️ This was our Australian Open win. 🥹 And it's just the start. 👀 2025 is going to be HUGE. 🚀
