We were thrilled to host the IT Leadership Breakfast at Lawson Flats in Perth CBD earlier this month. This private event brought together top CTOs, CIOs, and IT leaders from WA and the APAC region. Our Director, Alex Jenkins, led insightful discussions on last year’s key trends and shared forward-looking predictions for AI and innovation in #Western #Australia. He highlighted his experiences collaborating with boards and senior leaders in 2024, addressing the main challenges and opportunities in AI and Data Science for organisations. The intimate setting enabled meaningful connections and open discussion amongst peers, strengthening our professional community. We're thrilled to be support Bloom's LaunchLab! Our Director, Alex Jenkins, is eager to share his expertise to help aspiring innovators supercharge their ideas and take it to the next level!
Can two people with a laptop build a billion-dollar company in 2025? Short answer: yes. Longer answer: hell yes. 🚀 The AI startup revolution is here, and we're accelerating it with Bloom LaunchLAB - an AI incubator kicking off early next year. What used to take 18 months, a large team of engineers, and 3 years to see revenue, now happens in weeks with two people and a laptop. AI startups grow revenue 3x faster, with teams half the size. LaunchLAB is built from the ground up for this new reality, providing founders with cutting-edge AI resources, world-class mentors, and a collaborative community ready to build the future. I've reached out to the brightest minds in AI and entrepreneurship, and the response has been incredible - I've never seen such enthusiasm for a new initiative. A big thanks to all that put their hand up to support this program as mentors, judges and advisors: Matt James, Alex Jenkins, Jiaranai Keatnuxsuo (เจียระไน เกียรตินักสู้), Justin Strharsky, Aidan Morgan, Fredrik Ihre, Ash Shilkin, Wilson Casado FAIM, Nadia Reyhani, Vannessa V. 🛡, Ranjeev Sidhu, Joshua J Morley GAICD, Wilson Casado FAIM, Sean Oldenburger, Matthew Macfarlane, Katarina Miljkovic OAM, and many more. Reach out to me if you want to collaborate or support the program! This program is made possible by Meshpoints, an initiative supported by Lotterywest and Spacecubed, which exists to build a stronger culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in WA. Bloom is powered by St Catherine's College and MALKA FOUNDATION. With support from DDD Perth, Integral , Cyberwest, WA Data Science Innovation Hub (WADSIH) and a cash prize from Visagio! It is been amazing to get so much support in setting up this program from program cofounder Lisa Longman & program coordinator Minh Hoang. Applications open now (link in the comments).

The roadshow aims to enhance market access and foster new opportunities for Australian businesses in India, particularly in light of the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA), which will further reduce tariffs starting from next year. The Perth tech session on 4 December will include: ✅ A market briefing on India’s potential for WA businesses ✅ A panel discussion focused on the WA Critical and Enabling Tech sector.
