Empowering & Inspiring the Architects of Change

About us

Women in Technology (WIT) is a student-run society at the University of New South Wales Australia and is a network of 2000+ students with similar interests and goals surrounding STEM, who support the need to encourage diversity within the technology industry. Our events are held on and off campus and aim to develop students’ soft and hard skills relating to the corporate world. WIT is proud of its innovative and positive environment, whereby long term connections and friendships are made, helping to play a part in removing the gender imbalance that exists in the sector. Our flagship events in 2020 include the WIT Empowerment Mentoring Program, WIT x Google Hackathon and Annual Networking Night with our sponsors. Our publications in 2020 include the First Year Guide, Careers Guide and WIT 2020 Magazine. WIT intends to serve the dual purpose of empowering current students interested in technology, as well as encouraging high school students to pursue a future in technology.
