📌 Am I the Only One Excited About SORA? I just came across SORA, OpenAI’s new text-to-video model, and I’m genuinely intrigued! After watching a few YouTube videos and reading up on it, I’m eager to try it myself. Here’s what I’ve learned about SORA so far: SORA allows you to turn simple text prompts into realistic videos. You can create videos up to 20 seconds long, in full HD (1080p), and choose from widescreen, vertical, or square formats. Plus, it gives you the option to remix and blend your own assets or start fresh with text-based prompts. OpenAI claims that SORA is a step toward building AI that understands and simulates reality, which sounds super exciting. Have you tried SORA yet? Low Tech ! Ever since OpenAI unveiled Sora, I've delved deep into the wealth of information surrounding it. Each piece I've come across paints an intriguing picture of this revolutionary tool, one that promises to democratize the creation of "Hollywood-style" movies. Yet, amidst the excitement, I find myself drawn to a different path. For me, the idea of an all-encompassing AI, capable of doing everything, lacks the spark of creativity that fuels my artistic endeavors. Instead, I find joy in experimentation, in weaving together the outputs of several "weak AI" to craft something entirely unique. It's in the synthesis of these disparate elements that I discover the true essence of artistic expression. While I have a profound love for filming in virtual reality, I see AI, at least for now, as a means to explore new frontiers in visual storytelling. Rather than merely replicating reality, I view AI as a tool akin to the Kinetoscope of old, offering glimpses into a realm where imagination knows no bounds.
