Working to raise knowledge, awareness, understanding and commitment to Western Australia’s natural and cultural heritage
About us
The National Trust of Western Australia works to raise knowledge, awareness, understanding and commitment to Western Australia’s natural, Aboriginal and historic heritage. The Trust achieves this objective through the conservation and interpretation of heritage places it manages on behalf of the community and government of Western Australia, and through its education and learning programs. The National Trust of Western Australia was established in Western Australia in 1959 by a group of concerned citizens who identified the need to promote heritage conservation. This group grew rapidly and included some of the most prominent citizens in the State. Some five years later an Act of Parliament was passed in the State Parliament which formally established the Trust as an independent community based organisation.

An experienced consultant team is sought to undertake an interpretation project focussed on four National Trust managed heritage places. The project will rethink and reimagine the existing interpretation to connect the community to their significance and key stories. The interpretive approaches developed during this project may be as diverse as the places themselves and, above all, be engaging and appropriate to the storylines, suited to the intended audiences and have longevity. The consultant team will be responsible for complete project delivery including consultation with identified stakeholders, writing and content development, and design development through to final delivery, including fabrication and installation. Submissions close Friday, 17 January 2025. The brief is available here: https://lnkd.in/guVppBVc
