Over the past few months the business of honey, hot springs and herbal tonics has been keeping me busy as a bee and buzzing between airports in Melbourne, Byron Bay and the US. It's good to see Australian Manuka honey on display as I go. I've just landed back in the US where honey is amongst the most sought after imports and I'll be attending Expo West where 3000 exhibitors will be showing off the best the natural and organics industry has to offer to the 70,000 participants. I'll then join the Organic Trade Mission led by Kim Morgan and meet with key distributors, buyers and stockists. The past 20 years of research on Manuka honey has led to it becoming a highly valued product, yet I think there is still a long way to go before honey regains its place as the most desirable, versatile, and enduring health product. I look forward to spending time with fellow tour participants and learning about the latest trends in the world of natural, organic and regenerative products and discussing the next evolution of medicinal Manuka honey products, which include oxymels (vinegar and honey syrups), electuaries (herbal honey blends) and switchels (vinegar and honey drinks) made with Extremely Alive probiotics along with a new range of skin care, wound care and animal care products that are being produced in collaboration with Synthesis Organics , The Essential Way and other experts in the industry.
