Gather By is an Australian innovative medicinal honey farming model. In collaboration with regional communities including First Nations People and several Australian Universities, Gather By produces high-value, pure, raw and potent medicinal and therapeutic honey known as Gather By Bioactive+ Australian Manuka that it sells to the local, national and global market. Gather By has developed world-first Medicinal Honey Forest™ plantations which combine Medicinal Clonal Selection Leptospermum strains, bee fodder plants and novel agricultural practices to sustainably produce the highest grade of Bioactive Australian Manuka honey while prioritising bee health and land regeneration. Gather By enables Farmers and Landholders to plant these Medicinal Honey Forests and acquires the honey seasonally from the grower, based on MGO levels and market price. Conventional farming practices typically generate returns within 5%-10%. By comparison Gather By's Medicinal Honey Forest™ plantations can generate returns of 15%-19% or more. We are based in the Northern Rivers area of NSW because of the high activity of the plants of this region. We are seeking growers along the East Coast of Australia. I’m proud to bring Gather By Manuka to the second The Saudi Food Show - The Kingdom’s Largest F&B Sourcing Event and showcase our unique, pure, raw and potent medicinal and therapeutic honey. It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year when this journey began at the first Saudi Food Show back in June 2023. Since then, we've made tremendous strides, and I'm thrilled to announce a major milestone: we've recently signed an agreement with a leading distributor to sell our premium honey in Saudi Arabia. Our very first order is underway, featuring our sought-after MGO2200+ boxed gift sets, currently in the final stages of preparation for delivery. Building on the success of our debut, I'm excited to share that we have returned to the second Saudi Food Show in conjunction with Investment NSW and Austrade Middle East, Africa and Pakistan | Australian Trade and Investment Commission This presents a fantastic opportunity for us to further expand our presence in Saudi Arabia and across the GCC region. We'll be bringing along samples of our latest offerings, including our signature MGO2200+ boxed gift sets, as well as some exciting new additions to our Manuka product line: think gummies, lozenges, sachets, and skincare creams featuring MGO2000. We are proud to be working in collaboration with the Wonnarua Nation on the AGL Manuka Honey Project.
AGL Manuka Honey Project The project is a partnership between AGL, Wonnarua Nation Aboriginal Corporation and Gather By Manuka forms part of our Reconciliation Action Plan to assist Aboriginal owned business to increase economic equity and to support self-determination. As we gathered on this land, our employees from AGL Macquarie planted hundreds of seedlings, in 90% humidity and what a glorious experience. The trees (leptospermum scoparium, also known as tea-tree) will take approximately three years to mature and become a source of nectar for bees so medicinal Manuka honey production can begin. The honey has anti-bacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and the long-term goal of the project is to create ongoing employment opportunities and to build business capability. I am exceptionally proud to be involved in this opportunity! It was so great 🌳 Well done Seth Pathiyil, Jo Ferguson and all the wonderful volunteers!
