A warm StudioHawk welcome to Ahkeem Sealy!
Let's take five and get to know Ahkeem a bit more...
🥳 What excites you most about joining our team and company?
"StudioHawk has experienced remarkable growth since I discovered the company a year and a half ago. The recruitment of talented SEO and Digital PR professionals is inspiring to see. I’m excited about StudioHawk's focus on digital PR, a field that is still relatively new in Australia’s SEO landscape. While digital PR is already well-established in North America and the UK, StudioHawk has a unique opportunity to position itself as a market leader.
From an outsider's perspective, StudioHawk feels like a close-knit, vibrant family that takes pride in building strong connections with team members and clients. And, of course, laser-focused on damn good SEO campaigns for clients."
🧠 What's the best piece of career advice you have ever received?
"The best career advice I ever embraced came from myself: self-education is one of the most powerful forms of learning. Stay curious, strive to be at the forefront of innovation, and don’t be afraid to take risks with new ideas. Failure is inevitable at times, but that’s part of the process. Entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and other tech visionaries often fail, but they use those experiences to learn, adapt, and improve, unlocking opportunities they wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Those who dare to stay ahead of the curve often find themselves leading the way.
In my journey within digital marketing, much of what I’ve learned—particularly in SEO—has been through trial and error. While I certainly leaned on literature and resources, diving headfirst into the SEO world without formal instruction and navigating it was a transformative experience. This hands-on approach not only taught me invaluable lessons but helped me develop and refine my skills to where they are today—and I’m continuously focused on improving! I wouldn’t be where I am in this profession without taking that leap into the unknown and pushing myself to grow."
📚 What was the last book you read?
"During the early days of COVID, I developed a deep interest in macro and microeconomics. This interest turned into a passion, leading me down a rabbit hole exploring philosophies and ideologies surrounding different markets, money, banking, economics, and technology. It became a significant focus of my free time, alongside keeping up with the SEO trends.
The most recent book I read was The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin. It’s a deep dive into the history and inner workings of the Federal Reserve System, shedding light on its role in shaping the global financial landscape. The book challenged me to think critically about the banking system, and monetary policies, and how these influence economies and societies. For someone with an interest in economics and innovation, it was both thought-provoking and eye-opening. "
