Employers often ask us whether they should try to attract young job applicants via TikTok. We ran 2 focus groups and a short survey to find out what types of content young people wanted to see from employers. The resulting report (below) has some useful and easy to follow tips. The headline is that young people are looking for practical information that comes across as authentic. A video that is sponsored or seems like a hard sell can put people off. Videos that show what the job involves, make it clear that it is entry level and that show an inclusive, supportive environment are more likely to get people interested. This is a short report and not at all heavy reading. We were lucky to have Jennifer Chun, a student on placement from Macquarie Uni, to make this project possible. (Thanks Jen!) By the way, we are gearing up for our next Sydney Employer Innovation Lab starting in May 2025. There are lots of talented young people across our city who are looking for opportunities to contribute. Get in touch if you are interested in working with us to attract young, untapped talent! https://lnkd.in/gBeJM8kW

SVA welcomes the Prime Minister’s announcements this week to guarantee early childhood education and care for all children, and to build new high-quality centres in areas that need them. Suzie Riddell, CEO said: “The Prime Minister’s commitments on early education are vital to give all children the best start in life. We know that many families are missing out on good quality early education – particularly those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage – and we welcome these life-changing announcements.” SVA is pleased to see acknowledgement of early education as an essential service, and the announcements that move toward ensuring more children can access it in their community. We are proud of our work in advocating for a better start to life for children who face disadvantage and are ready to support the Government in making sure these changes are reaching those who would benefit most. SVA Consulting is proud to have partnered with BaptistCare, Baptcare and Baptist Care (SA) Inc in their transformative proposed merger. Our team supported the organisations to agree the terms of the merger and develop the business case. Together, the organisation would be one of the largest integrated care and service providers in Australia, with over 12,000 staff and providing care to over 38,000 customers across six states and territories.
