Congratulations NMT GRAPHIC DESIGN North Metropolitan TAFE Advanced Diploma Graphic Design, Class of 2024 - what a showcase of creativity! Exceptional talent right across the room, this was a tough one to judge. Winner to be revealed this evening, no spoilers. Full-circle moment for Co-Prez Leigh, who received the PADC Award back in 1999 (then known as the 'Perth Art Directors Club'). You can check out the RAW Grads show from now until December 9, at 12 Aberdeen Street.

One of the nicest projects I've been involved with – redesigning the Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC) gold skull from a 'trophy' into an annually evolving, one-off piece of art. What started as an idea over a drink with Leigh Wood back in March, quickly developed into a piece that so many people helped to bring to life. A huge congratulations to the 13 lucky recipients of a gold skull this year who took home a one-off piece of art, as hand-crafted and unique as we are as makers and creators. A massive shout out to Tim Ewers who came along on this journey from the beginning (sometimes not by choice); Kevin Wilson for his beautiful concept; Eric Schneider for his craft and expertise; and Mauro Palmieri, Jhaz Bullen-Williams, Hollie Gibson and the team at Supaflr for their beautiful storytelling and support of the Club. What a night! 💀 We had a blast celebrating the best of Perth's creative talent at the PADC Skulls. We love an excuse to get dressed up and be inspired by the innovative ideas and campaigns emerging from our industry. Congratulations to all of the incredible winners, and a massive shoutout to Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC) for curating yet another unforgettable evening. 🌃

Apparently I’m better at art and design than I am at remembering to buy tickets for things. Really pleased to collect these Perth Advertising and Design Club awards this week having missed out on attending the awards night after accidentally putting off buying tickets until it sold out 😬 Came away with a silver in the motion design category for Argyle Pink Diamonds ‘Beyond Rare’ and the diamond skull for digital talent of the year. I’ll set a reminder to buy tickets next year ⏰

The PADC Skulls is not just about awards, but about coming together as a team and industry for good times and overdue catchups! Kudos to our inspired Moonsail content creator Esteban Barbosa for jumping on the camcorder on the night and capturing a few laughs.
