  • Leadership isn’t about holding power—it’s about empowering others. Simon Sinek’s quote reminds us that true leadership means prioritising the well-being, growth, and success of those we lead. It’s not about control; it’s about fostering an environment where people feel supported and valued. When leaders focus on taking care of their team, they build trust, drive collaboration, and create lasting impact. How are you taking care of your team? #Leadership #TeamSupport #Empowerment #Trust #LeadershipDevelopment #SimonSinek

  • The most successful teams don’t just embrace change—they drive it. And a key driver of that change? A strong culture of feedback. When feedback flows freely, a few things happen: ✅ Teams grow stronger and more resilient. ✅ Innovation thrives through continuous improvement. ✅ Individuals are empowered to learn, develop, and contribute more. Yet, creating this culture isn’t always easy. It requires: Trust: People need to feel safe (psychological safety) to both give and receive feedback. Consistency: Regular, constructive conversations that don’t just happen during annual reviews. Action: Feedback that leads to tangible changes and growth. Remember, feedback is a two-way street. It’s not just about what’s said but also how it's received. Leaders have a unique responsibility to set the tone by modelling openness and encouraging dialogue. How are you fostering a culture of feedback in your organisation? #Leadership #Culture #Feedback #Growth #ContinuousImprovement #TeamDevelopment

  • Recently Kate Blake presented on the topic of Leading with Emotional Intelligence at The Learning and Development Collective Festival. This festival is held in the Metaverse and allows L&D professionals from all over the country to come together and hear from industry experts. Kate was able to educate the group on what emotional intelligence is, examples of low EQ behaviours and high EQ behaviours, an opportunity to self-reflect and the steps to create a personal development plan in order to improve your emotional intelligence. #Leadership #Culture #Feedback #Growth #ContinuousImprovement #TeamDevelopment

  • In leadership and organisational culture, values and behaviours are often talked about together—but they are not the same thing. Understanding the difference is key to driving change. 🔑 Values represent what we believe in. - They are the guiding principles that define who we are and what we stand for.  🔑 Behaviours are how those values show up in action. - They are the visible, everyday decisions and actions that reflect whether we’re living those values. Values without behaviours are just words. It’s only when we consistently embody those values through our actions that they become meaningful. As leaders, it’s our job to ensure that the behaviours in our organisations align with the values we promote. We cannot manage people from their values; we can however manage people from their behaviour. #Behaviours #Values #Leadership #Feedback #Growth #HighPerformingTeams

  • How Can Leadership Coaching Transform You into a Corporate Athlete? Just like elite athletes have coaches to push them toward peak performance, leaders in the business world need the same support to excel. Yet, a lot of CEOs and senior executives don’t receive external leadership coaching. As expectations rise and the pace quickens, the pressures on senior leaders intensify. "It can be lonely at the top" is a sentiment that resonates with many. No one person has all the answers, and even the most successful leaders have room for growth. In today’s business landscape, sustainability is more critical than ever. Leaders need someone in their corner, dedicated to their growth, development, and well-being. While the leader focuses on the game, the coach focuses on the leader. Our tailored Executive Coaching Programs help leaders: - Step back from day-to-day operations and gain a new perspective - See over the horizon and navigate challenges with clarity - Improve leadership impact and team engagement The benefits? - Enhanced leadership competencies - Increased emotional intelligence - Improved team connection and culture - Clearer vision and targeted goals - A more sustainable, engaged leader and team Take your leadership to the next level ➡️https://lnkd.in/g8ySJVFq #ExecutiveCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipGrowth #SustainableLeadership #HighPerformingTeams

  • As leaders, it's easy to become comfortable with past accomplishments. But true leadership is not about resting on what we’ve already achieved—it’s about continuously striving for growth, both for ourselves and those we lead. Growth drives innovation. It challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace new ideas. Leaders who prioritise continual learning inspire their teams to do the same, creating a culture of progress and adaptability. At the end of the day, leadership isn’t a destination—it’s a journey that requires constant development and reflection. If we aren’t evolving, we aren’t leading. #LeadershipDevelopment #ContinuousImprovement #GrowthMindset #Progress #HighPerformingTeams

  • According to a 2021 Catalyst study, 61% of workers with highly empathetic leaders report being often or always innovative, compared to just 13% under less empathetic leadership. Empathy has also been shown to boost engagement, with 76% of professionals with empathetic leaders reporting feeling consistently engaged, versus 32% of those led by less empathetic individuals. With this increased focus on a leadership style that embodies emotional intelligence, well-being, and work-life balance, there’s clearly a growing need for more empathetic leaders. The pandemic has heightened this awareness as leaders face challenges like the cost of living, inflation, layoffs, and hybrid working. So how can you develop empathy and active listening skills as a leader? 🔸Be Present in Conversations - Set aside distractions and give the person in front of you your full attention. Being fully present shows that you value what your team member has to say. 🔸Ask Open-Ended Questions - Encourage deeper conversations to help you better understand your team's perspective. 🔸Reflect and Validate Feelings - Simple phrases like, “It sounds like you’re feeling frustrated because…” show that you understand both the words and emotions behind them. 🔸Be Curious, Not Judgmental - Empathy involves understanding someone’s situation without jumping to conclusions. 🔸Practice Emotional Awareness - Regularly check in with your own emotions to develop emotional intelligence. Being in tune with your feelings makes it easier to empathise with others. By focusing on empathy and active listening, leaders can build stronger relationships with their teams, foster trust, and create a more inclusive and supportive work environment. These skills are the foundation of effective leadership and can make a profound difference in organisational culture. #LeadershipDevelopment #ActiveListening #EmotionalIntelligence #TeamEngagement #HighPerformingTeams

  • Throwback to Ann Rhoades' 2016 TEDx Talk on building organisational cultures rooted in values and performance. In the talk, Ann highlights 5 key focus areas for companies using a Values-Based High-Performance Model: 1️⃣Defining who they want to be through a values-driven framework and aligned behaviours. 2️⃣Hiring “A” players who not only excel in their role but also embody the company’s values. 3️⃣Creating a strong accountability model and rewarding employees in ways that are meaningful to them. 4️⃣Recognising that their people are the true reflection of their brand. 5️⃣Embracing continuous improvement at every level. Our biggest takeaway? Leadership drives values, values drive behaviours, behaviours shape culture, and culture drives performance. Ann's insights are just as relevant today—definitely worth a watch for anyone looking to build a thriving, values-driven work environment ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gfjGq7j8 #LeadershipDevelopment #HighPerformingTeams #TedTalk #OrganisationalCulture

  • Turning Setbacks into Success: 5 Ways You Can Learn from Failure 🔄 Failure is often seen as something to avoid, but the truth is, it's a natural and essential part of growth—especially in leadership. The most resilient and innovative leaders understand that setbacks are stepping stones to success. By embracing failure, you can turn challenges into valuable learning experiences that shape your leadership journey. Here are five ways you can learn from failure: 1️⃣ Embrace a Growth Mindset: View failure as a chance to learn and grow, not a dead end. A growth mindset helps you innovate and adapt in the face of challenges. 2️⃣ Reflect and Analyse: Reflect on failures to identify the root causes. Analysing what went wrong allows you to take steps to avoid similar mistakes in the future. 3️⃣ Seek Feedback: Ask for feedback from others to gain new perspectives and uncover blind spots. Constructive criticism helps refine your approach and improve your leadership. 4️⃣ Take Responsibility: Own your mistakes to build trust and show integrity. Accepting responsibility sets a positive example and strengthens your leadership. 5️⃣ Apply the Lessons: Use the lessons learned from failure to improve decision-making and processes. Applying these insights turns setbacks into growth opportunities. Failure is not the opposite of success; it’s a part of it. The key is to learn from each setback, adapt, and continue moving forward. So, the next time you face a challenge, remember that it’s an opportunity to grow and become a more resilient and effective leader. #ResilientLeadership #GrowthMindset #LeadershipJourney #LeadershipDevelopment
