  • This week marks an exciting milestone for the Minerals to Megawatts CRC (MMCRC) team as we successfully completed the final interview assessment for Round 25 of the Cooperative Research Australia (CRC) Program in Canberra. Our team passionately presented our vision for building Australia’s renewable technology industry. We couldn’t be prouder of their incredible effort and dedication.   A sincere thank you to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources for the opportunity to showcase our proposal and for their continued commitment to fostering innovation through the CRC Program. Their support is pivotal in enabling collaborative solutions to critical challenges across industries.   The MMCRC is committed to fortifying Australia’s energy security by addressing critical gaps in the renewable energy technology supply chain. This funding will #enable our industry partners to speed up and derisk the roll-out of current technologies to accelerate Australia’s energy transition for 2030, and #build Australia’s renewable technology export industry for 2050.   We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us along this journey—your belief in MMCRC’s potential drives us forward. As we await the final decision, we remain focused on our mission to make a lasting impact. Stay tuned for updates and the next chapter of MMCRC’s transformative journey! • Congratulations to NOJA Power on their incredible recognition at the 62nd Australian Export Awards! We’re proud to see our industry partner, NOJA Power continue their journey of growth and innovation, leading the way in building a cleaner, greener energy future. Here’s to your success and the ongoing impact of Australian exporters worldwide! Read NOJA Power story here: https://lnkd.in/gmUGCye6

Huge congratulations to the winners from the 62nd Australian #ExportAwards ceremony presented by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)!     It's fitting that our Exporter of the Year Rising Sun Pictures is in the storytelling business, because that's exactly what these awards are about – telling the stories of how Australian talent is succeeding internationally and what it means for those back home.    Our businesses are putting Australian food and beverages on restaurant menus and dinner tables around the globe. We're building sustainable infrastructure and powering the Green Energy transition. We're sharing our world-class education system and creative capability.     And our economy is benefitting. Trade-related activities contribute almost a third of Australia’s GDP. One in four is trade-related, and economic modelling by DFAT showed jobs directly associated with exports had a 10% higher annual income.    I'm very proud of the role Austrade plays in helping businesses – from SMEs through to some of Australia's biggest brands – succeed internationally. Every day, I watch the team go above and beyond to help clients on their export journeys.    Each and every exporter nominated for the awards this year has their own story to tell – I encourage you to go read them:  https://lnkd.in/g8_uaBey        An event like this can't happen without an incredibly talented and dedicated team behind the scenes – thank you to the whole Australian Export Awards team for their efforts!      Daniel Boyer | Peter Horn | Susan Kahwati | Anthony Weymouth | Paul Landgren | Elodie Journet | Jessica Hamilton FAMI CPM  | Fivecast | Frosty Boy Global | Life-Space Group | Royal Poly Products | The Whiskey Project GroupEngineering Institute of Technology | ResMed | tna solutions Pty Ltd. | Reeves Envico | Care Essentials Pty Ltd | MicroBioGen | Marine Air Flow InternationalphotoSentinelNOJA Power

  • Mining companies have set their global carbon emission targets and are rapidly seeking and adopting mine electrification solutions, largely driven by the success of battery technologies. Our consortium aims to turbocharge the development of such capabilities, which is why companies like Mining3 have come on board as an industry partner in support of our CRC bid. Modern lithium-ion batteries have demonstrated high levels of safety in the automotive industry: however, they are now being used in high duty, high vibration, wet, acidic, and other challenging environmental conditions, which is raising significant questions about their safe use and response to incidents, particularly in underground operations. Mining3 sees the need to answer the fundamental questions around the behaviour of various battery chemistries when confronted with these challenging mining conditions and is looking forward to working with the Minerals to Megawatts CRC.
