“Beacon is a cyber safety education app, designed to keep parents and carers up to date with reliable and valuable information to help keep their kids safe online. “My internship revealed to me the critical role Activ plays in addressing barriers to inclusion in WA, from housing and employment, to social stigma; I learned how Activ empowers people with disabilities by fostering independence and creating opportunities. It was our biggest year for internships to date, with 936 internships undertaken, including more than 300 in the Summer round! Sydney is a Bachelor of Business student at UWA, majoring in Business Management and Marketing, who was looking for a way to gain more practical experience as part of her degree. “I was very lucky to be with Luma through the final stages of the creation and brand handover for the HER Board project, which is a sponsorship program to help women experiencing domestic violence leave those situations.
