  • Airing at 2 PM, 28 October on SBS, “Always Listening” is a new documentary that takes you behind the scenes at Lifeline, one of the oldest organisations dedicated to saving lives in Australia. Award-winning filmmaker Genevieve Bailey (I Am Eleven, Happy Sad Man) was given rare access to Lifeline's network of volunteers and staff in this intimate 30-minute documentary. It serves as a portrait of compassion, giving a voice to just a few of those who have answered some of the 23 million calls for help as well as hearing stories from those who have used the service over Lifeline’s 60 years. Watch it on the 28th of October on SBS or search “Always Listening” via SBS On Demand.

  • Register now (https://buff.ly/3RcfT6S) for a Mental Health First Aid two-day course (30-31 July) that teaches adults how to assist other adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis. When someone you know is struggling with their mental health, it can be difficult to know what to say. You might feel uncertain about how to approach the conversation or worry about saying the wrong thing. From recognising the signs that something isn’t quite right to broaching the conversation, find out how to support those around you with compassion and understanding. Check out Mental Health First Aid to see its #WouldYouKnowWhatToSay campaign.
