The IPS 'Workforce Solutions' team recently attended the 2024 Construction Training Fund (CTF) Stakeholder Sundowner. It was wonderful to network with our partners and stakeholders during the event. This year has been truly rewarding, partnering with CTF for our mentoring program. Through the CTF Scholarship Program, 275 students gained valuable guidance, leading to 24 apprenticeships and 34 job placements. It was great to hear from Simone McGurk at the event, Minister for Training and Workforce Development, Water, and Industrial Relations, and the State Labour Member for Fremantle, who shared her vision for Fremantle’s economic revitalisation, improved transport options, and quality public education. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Rob Berryman for his exceptional leadership and we wish him well for retirement. On behalf of the team at IPS, we look forward to continued collaboration and growth with CTF in the coming year. This has been a fantastic partnership, and one we are truly grateful for. Thank you for helping us bring our vision of 'Creating Better Futures' to life. IPS 'Workforce Solutions' Recap 🎉 As we wrap up 2024 and reflect on our diverse service lines, here are some key highlights from our 'Workforce Solutions' service offering, led by Jackie Graham. 2024 has been a rewarding year for Workforce Solutions, with programs that have made a real difference in people’s lives. The Yaka Dandjoo program helped participants overcome financial challenges and build careers in construction, earning the NAWIC WA ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ Award. The OnTrack program empowered individuals to pursue lasting careers, for which we were recognised by the Nudge NGO 'Above and Beyond' Award. The OnTrack and the Yaka Dandjoo expiated $129,027 in fines since inception through the Work and Development Permit Scheme WDPS Scheme. Through the Construction Training Fund (CTF) mentoring initiative, 275 students gained valuable guidance, leading to 24 apprenticeships and 34 job placements. The Jobs Showcase webinars (in collaboration with Department of Employment and Workplace Relations - DEWR) raised awareness about labour shortages, reaching over 56,700 registrations with overwhelmingly positive feedback. This year, we also commenced a unique initiative, working collaboratively with partners to support prison release participants to gain qualifications and employment in rail, through the 'Track to Success' program - working in collaboration with DEWR, Department of Justice, Workskil Australia, Iron Training & Consulting and Cat5 Rail. With a deep commitment to creating opportunities, and strong connections with valued stakeholders, IPS 'Workforce Solutions' is set to continue inspiring change, transforming lives, and tackling workforce challenges with renewed energy and purpose.
