IQ's reliability lead Eric Keetman recently attended the Mainstream conference in Melbourne - the most accomplished asset management conference in Australia. Eric finds that being part of the Mainstream Community of maintenance, reliability and asset management leaders perfectly matches IQ’s DNA. The conference was jam packed with world class speakers, attendees, and highly relevant topics for today’s data centric world. One of Eric's key takeaways was the focus on asset management efforts which Industry leaders require. “Try not to boil the ocean” describes the challenge many of us face when dealing with vast physical asset numbers and their digital representations. Kudos to Guy Freebody for the organisation of the Melbourne conference. Keep an eye out for IQ at the Perth Summit in March!

Fantastic to see our Energy Transition clients moving forward and leading the way. Great work Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has, through its flagship fund CI IV, reached financial close on Lotus Creek Wind Farm – a 285 MW project located in Central Queensland, Australia. CS Energy, owned by the Queensland Government, has acquired 100% of the project and will keep CIP on as a trusted partner to help deliver the project. Jorn Hammer, Partner and Head of CIP in Australia and New Zealand said: “We are proud to be one of government’s trusted investment partners. We look forward to helping CS Energy deliver its first 100 per cent owned wind farm, and working with other local asset owners and operators as we progress our multi-GW Australian pipeline.” Once fully operational in 2027, Lotus Creek Wind Farm will generate enough affordable and reliable energy to power approx. 150,000 homes in Queensland.

With the state’s population expected to hit 6 million in 2027, the Queensland Government is accelerating its commitment to accommodate for an increased need of transport services. Against this backdrop, the 13th Annual Queensland Transport Infrastructure Conference returns to the Brisbane Convention Centre on the 22nd and 23rd May 2024 to profile a vast range of transport and infrastructure works critical for a growing state. The program will highlight the $32.1 billion investment towards a range of infrastructure including road, rail, marine, passenger transport, and active transport projects, which will all contribute to enhancing connectivity, improving safety, and supporting economic growth across the state.

Natural gas will continue playing a critical role in Australia’s energy security in a net zero economy to 2050 and beyond, with the Australian Government’s Future Gas Strategy highlighting that continued investment in new gas supply is needed. The Strategy makes clear the importance of gas in the future energy mix, stating that “Under all credible net zero scenarios, natural gas is needed through to 2050 and beyond... Gas will be essential to the transition because our energy system needs gas to achieve net zero”. 🔗 Read our media release: https://lnkd.in/gVBJ8P8r #FutureGasStrategy

Congratulations Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, on more success. IQ looking forward to continuing our support as the projects develop into execution and operation.
Great news from Australia! We are proud to share we have been successful in Australia’s first offshore wind feasibility licence process and secured site exclusivity to develop two offshore wind projects through our flagship funds. We also announce the launch of a new platform company Southerly Ten – dedicated to the development and delivery of offshore wind projects in Australia and New Zealand. Our first two projects in Australia – Star of the South and Kut-Wut Brataualung combined have the potential to deliver up to 4.4 GW of capacity, enough to power 2.4 million homes with clean energy. Jorn Hammer, partner and Head of CIP Australia said: “CIP was a first mover in developing offshore wind in Australia and has been proudly working with local communities, government and industry to kick start an offshore wind industry. We are excited about the prospects of Southerly Ten to expand on CIP’s extensive global experience and expertise in offshore wind development.” If you want to know more about Southerly Ten and our Australian offshore wind projects, visit https://lnkd.in/dfzWgWh8

Congratulations @Fortescue. Information Quality are proud to be assisting the energy transition with our range of support functions at Fortescue!
Leading the green hydrogen revolution begins with a bold vision. This week, our Executive Chairman Andrew Forrest officially launched our first major green hydrogen project in the US, Arizona Hydrogen. The newly renamed USD$550 million facility is expected to deliver 11,000 tons of liquid hydrogen every year, helping us lead the way in decarbonising America's heavy-duty road transportation sector. As we lead the way, starting in Arizona, we're not just building a project; we're laying the foundation for a global renewable energy revolution.
