#TeamWood secured a record $920 million in Middle East contract wins across Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2024.🌟 We are accelerating the region’s journey to net zero by reducing flare gas emissions, providing carbon advisory and digital solutions, consulting on hydrogen and carbon capture projects and more, working with companies like aramco, ADNOC Group, Shell and TotalEnergies. 🌍 Our growth in the region has seen our Middle East team grow by 16% in the last year and we continue to invest in and develop early career talent through our multidiscipline graduate engineering programmes and new vocational training centre. 🌟Wood is delivering a significant decarbonisation project in the Middle East🌟 Our team of expert consultants is providing a series of technical work scopes, including early-phase engineering, feasibility studies and installing a new heat recovery unit to enhance the operations of a leading petrochemical manufacturing plant in the region. Leveraging our decades of expertise in this field, we estimate that the delivery of this contract will unlock CO₂ emissions reductions of around 110 kilo-tonnes per annum. Wood continues to support the next phase of a world-leading decarbonisation project with Net Zero Teesside Power and Northern Endurance Partnership, integral to helping the UK achieve its carbon reduction targets. 🎯 #TeamWood will provide specialist support for this landmark carbon capture and storage project, including project and construction management, engineering and technical assurance, information management and digital systems integration across all nine contractors. Building on our concept, pre-front end engineering design (pre-FEED) and front-end engineering design (FEED) delivery, we are proud to support the full lifecycle of the project, which will result in the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture. Enhancing our partnership with bp🤝   Wood has signed three major agreements with bp, including a new master services agreement for engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services and two extensions to existing frameworks for conceptual engineering and pre-FEED/FEED (front end engineering and design).   The frameworks will see Wood drive digitally-enabled delivery as well as asset decarbonisation for offshore and onshore energy assets globally.
