In the wake of the devastating Cyclone Seroja in 2021, a group of former and current AFL players, hailing from Northampton, came together to establish a Fremantle Foundation named fund - the AFL Rams Community Support Fund. Led by Andrew Lockyer, this initiative raised over $250,000 to aid their community in rebuilding and recovering. The Fund has supported various projects to help rebuild the community including works to the local arts centre, community centre, and local school, as well as supporting sport and recreation clubs including the netball club, golf club and of course the Northampton junior football club. Today, the legacy of the AFL Rams Community Support Fund stands as a testament to the power of community and the enduring spirit of the people of Northampton.

We are thrilled to see Short Back & Sidewalks a local charity providing essential haircuts to those experiencing homelessness, awarded our $100,000 Impact100 Fremantle grant! This generous funding will enable Short Back & Sidewalks to continue their incredible work, providing not just a haircut, but a renewed sense of dignity and hope to countless individuals in our community. We're thrilled that a new service supporting older women facing homelessness is now open in Hilton. Thanks to the generous support of a Fremantle Foundation named fund, Uniting WA received a grant to furnish a property and create a safe and supportive home environment for vulnerable women. Uniting WA recently welcomed their first two residents - two older women who have faced significant challenges - who have been offered a sanctuary and a chance to rebuild their lives. Thank you to the Esperance Ag Fund, a Fremantle Foundation named fund, for their generous donation to support the creation of a new Community Vegetable Garden for the Recherche Aged Welfare Committee. It's a pleasure to see the transformation of the garden space. The residents are overjoyed with their new garden, which is designed to be safe and accessible for all. The old and dangerous structures have been replaced with modern, user-friendly garden pods, allowing residents to walk around unaided or use their mobility scooters with ease. This beautiful garden will provide years of joy and fruitful abundance for both current and future residents. We’re thrilled to share the results of Clean Up Australia's recent targeted engagement campaign to promote Clean Up sites and boost WA registration numbers for Clean up Australia 2024. We’re excited to share an update on our recent announcement about the adoption of Room 111 at Crawford Lodge through the Cancer Council Western Australia’s Adopt a Room program. Thanks to the generous support of the TAMS Group Fund, a Fremantle Foundation named fund, this vital donation has made a significant impact on the lives of country families undergoing cancer treatment. Since the adoption, 23 guests have stayed in Room 111, with the longest stay lasting 46 days. Guests have come from all over Western Australia, including Broome, Paraburdoo, Manjimup, Augusta, and Norseman. Thank you to Total AMS - Part of the TAMS Group for their commitment to supporting cancer patients and their families.
