📣 Franmarine and Shearwater Marine Services Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement 📣 Shearwater Marine Services, a leading diving and marine engineering company based in the UK with unrivalled underwater engineering experience and Franmarine, Australia's sovereign underwater sustainment provider, have signed a strategic agreement to share underwater engineering and biofouling management expertise and technology, to support the #AUKUS nuclear-powered submarine pathway and trilateral security partnership. Under the Agreement, the firms will work together to standardise underwater sustainment capability in lieu of dry docking to enhance platform readiness, seaworthiness, freedom of navigation and environmental protection. A shout out to Franmarine’s professional marine and commercial diving crews for the safe and timely removal of the burnt out 21m luxury yacht that was left partially submerged off Cottesloe Beach.    Our first responders conducted an initial underwater survey of the vessel to assess its structural integrity, identify potential hazards, and determine the most suitable recovery methodology. The salvage operation was particularly difficult given the condition of the vessel and that the hull had rolled when it sank. Subsequently, the hull was towed upside down and righted in sheltered waters in order to be removed from the marine environment. Our personnel remain engaged in debris removal operations, and we intend to return the impacted environment to its original condition.    A massive thank you to our incredible team members who worked tirelessly over the weekend to reach this milestone and effectively remove what had become a significant hazard for water users off the WA coastline. Your expertise and dedication are the backbone of our operations, and we couldn’t be prouder of your efforts.    Franmarine provides critical salvage and rescue capability across the Defence, Shipping, Infrastructure and Resource sectors maintaining readiness 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.     The marine environment can be unforgiving.
