As Melbourne’s sparkling cityscape comes to life after dark, you might have noticed our cranes lighting up the skyline in the prominent colours of green, white, and red. Resembling the shades of the Italian flag, the choice is made in honour of our company’s Italian heritage. We take great pride in our roots, and like many Australian-Italians, we feel a strong sense of cultural affinity when we see these three colours gracing the streets of Melbourne, especially when it’s up in the sky. As a company, we recognise how this distinctive colour palette helps to set us apart and enhance our brand recognition. However, as a family, we’re thrilled that we’re able to resonate deeply with Melburnians, given the city’s large Italian community. It’s a powerful marketing asset, but importantly it also fosters a strong connection with our audience. 🎥 Capture Point
About us
We are Crema. We’re a passionate, family-run construction company with Italian blood and a strong loyalty to Melbourne. Since 1951, we’ve been creating the buildings that make up the city, delivering exceptional quality commercial and residential projects and priding ourselves on being a pleasure to do business with. Now with a third generation leading with purpose, and demonstrated capability for projects of scale, we feel like we’re just getting started. When you meet us, you realise we don’t do things the same as the rest. We prefer face to face over phone, collaboration over control, and a handshake over haggling. There’s nothing we love more than a challenge, and we care a lot about our projects. Maybe too much. But that’s what makes a Crema building different. You can feel our beating heart in everything we bring to life, long after the tools are down. We’re fuelled by curiosity, conviction, and coffee. We live and breathe Melbourne. We’re inspired by our city, and we’re proud to be part of its ever evolving make-up. Visit us at www.crema.com.au @cremaconstructions

We are proud and honoured to have received the Master Builders 2024 Excellence in Construction Award for Saint Moritz in the Medium rise Apartment Building Category. Inspired by the interplay of timeless design and beach locale of world-famous coastal cities of Monaco, Miami, Saint-Tropez and Cannes, Saint Moritz has redefined luxury living in Australia. The design has taken cues from the rich urban fabric and natural surrounds, including the rippling of waves and undulating sand patterns synonymous with the waterfront. Saint Moritz is a lush resort-style oasis of three residential towers presiding over St Kilda’s stunning esplanade and beach. The project consisted of 131 premium residences and over 3,000m2 of amenities. Master Builders Association of Victoria Thank you to our site team, client and subcontractors for helping us bring this build to life. #BuildingMelbourne

We are so excited for our latest Gallery in the Sky collaboration with the talented artist @brittyflynn at our Malvern Collective project. For Britt’s artwork – 'Party in Malvern', she wanted to capture the perfect snapshot that celebrates the affluent lifestyle of the modern, elegant super-suburb Malvern. Britt wanted her tablescape to reflect the delights offered in this trendy part of Melbourne and what the suburb has to offer from a retail and hospitality perspective. Britt has chosen the Cancer Council for Crema to donate on her behalf, as tragically Cancer has affected her family. She hopes this donation can go towards helping to save a life or even just help one of the many thousands struggling every day with this terrible disease.

CDL Australia broke ground at its first Build to Rent scheme in Australia in an official ceremony last week, located at 203-205 Normanby Rd, Southbank. Crema Constructions is the appointed main contractor for this development of 237 homes, including a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio apartments. "With construction sign-off now complete, it’s exciting to get this project off the ground and begin to help ease Melbourne’s rental supply shortage. Following the construction sign-off, demolition was completed in September, making way for the piling rig which was mobilised late September. Currently 29 piles have been completed and tested, with an estimated completion in late 2025." Cameron Laird, CDL Australia.
