While the world watched Trump politics divide one of the greatest nations on earth, I’ve experienced how an Independent MP has made our electorate more united than ever before, speak out on what we believe and drive nation wide issues such as the first major Tax Review in decades (or ever?) This didn’t happen by accident or chance. An entire community rose to the challenge and made it happen. You too can be enabler for such a positive force 💪 In just a few months, Australia faces an election that will shape our future on climate action and social progress. Labor is poised to lose its majority, leaving us with two stark choices: 1️⃣ A conservative, Trump-style resurgence under Dutton. 2️⃣ A surge of independents like my outstanding MP, Allegra Spender, bringing balance and accountability to Parliament. ICYMI: The Government and Coalition are on the cusp of passing legislation that will give the major parties tens of millions of dollars more in funding- from the taxpayer. As journalists like Annabel Crabb have pointed out, this provides an enormous and unfair benefit to the major parties, potentially entrenching their hold on power over Independents and newcomers.
