One year on since the devastating Mariginiup bushfire, the City of Wanneoro thanks the efforts of all those involved in both the incident and the immense recovery process. With 18 homes lost, 15 commercial properties and dozens of properties suffering damage, the fire took its toll on the community and set up a long recovery process. The City thanks all staff, residents, businesses, emergency services personnel, volunteers, State Government departments and support services involved. We are proud of the way our community came together to support one another, in both dealing with the devastating impacts of the fire and banding together to navigate a complex recovery. The City will continue to support the community as we work through this. Across the impacted sites you can see regrowth and renewal, symbols of the resilience of the City of Wanneroo community.
