I’m wrapping up the 2024 working year today, and reflecting on a huge year.
Some CoAct achievements that I'm incredibly proud of include:
• DES 2025 procurement: We've been immersed in this complex and time-sensitive project all year. Through partner roadshows, three co-design events, countless working groups and meetings, evidence collection and data analysis, we reimagined our proven service model, showcasing our network capability.
• Expanding apprenticeship services: The new Australian Apprenticeship Support Services contract strengthened our partnership with BUSY At Work through BUSY At Work - The Apprenticeship Community. We retained the Perth and surrounds region, and expanded into Victoria.
• Workforce Australia performance: Our network's WFA performance has gone from strength to strength, thanks to network-wide strategies, commitment and consistency.
• Customer satisfaction: Our rating continues to be high across both DES and WFA, highlighting the success of our customer-centric services.
• Network collaboration: Our annual ConnectUp conference brought together our service partners for two days of learning, big thinking and networking. We also celebrated network excellence with the CoAct Awards.
• New partners: We welcomed Forrest Personnel Ltd to the network and new DES 2025 partners.
• Customer Advisory Committee: Launched to provide valuable input and lived experience on our service design.
Awards and corporate achievements flowed too:
• Awarded Employer of Choice for the third time
• Outstanding results in the Workplace Gender Equality Agency employer gender gap report, most notably CoAct’s total gender pay gap at -5.7%, far exceeding the industry average of 23%.
• Named on Diversity Council Australia Ltd’s 2024-2025 Inclusive Employers list.
• Progressed our Reconciliation Australia Reconciliation Action Plan to the ‘Innovate’ phase.
• The National Employment Services Association Employment Consultant of the Year award saw all three finalists and winner from our network.
These highlights and more have only been possible through the efforts of our small but mighty team and our amazing network.
Thank you to our partners for your continued collaboration, expertise and dedication to our joint mission.
Thank you to CoAct's staff for always going above and beyond to deliver exceptional work.
Thank you to the CoAct Board, Executive Management Group and Strategic Leadership Group, for ensuring we stay laser-focused on delivering our mission.
And most importantly, thank you to our customers, who entrust us to support them through their challenges. You're our why in all we do.
Wishing you all a safe and happy holidays. Rest, recharge, reflect and get ready for a BIG 2025!
