  • 74 followers from static content ain’t too shabby. This post did well because it gave a step by step process. Heck I could have turned this into a mini course and charged for it. 🌻 How it got traction in the first place always relies on ONE thing. Does it stop the scroll. The text is nice big and easy to read the orange on the white background and the photo I’ve used it nice and *crisp* thanks to @its_me_jessyg You can make the most incredible content but if it’s not scroll-stopping to start with it won’t get seen 😭 The key to a good post is: ✅ Visually appealing and interesting ✅ Contains info your audience want/need ✅ Serves a purpose for your business (has a role in your sales funnel) And BOOM you’ve got a good piece of content 👏🏼

  • How I plan my content in 20 minutes or less. ⬇️ You might know that I am a big fan of content planning. I am also a HUGE believer that one size does NOT fit all. That’s why there are multiple content planners inside my membership Content Circle because it is incredibly hard to plan until you find what works for you. 🧡 This little guy is one of my faves. I only change the middle line each week (idea). All I do is grab a content pillar topic from a list I made and whack it in. Or if something has come up in a coaching call or is trending I’ll pop that in. It honestly takes about 5 mins and I do this x 2. ✅ Static content ✅ Reels Stories are just in my head - but most of my story content is Evaluation + Action (Presell + sell) content. Whereas my Reels are mainly awareness. If you don’t plan or take too long to plan this method might be for you! It’s quick but lets you easily see what topics you are focusing on and where your content sits in your sales funnel.   • Not making sales? It’s likely you don’t have content for all stages of the sales funnel. Heck, you might only be creating for one stage and then you’ll have a “blockage”. Someone who started following you yesterday is not at the same stage as someone who’s been binging your content for 6 months straight. You need someone to go all the way down the funnel (and not get stuck in the waterslide) 🌻 Awareness (top of the funnel) - This is attention-grabbing content. For me, this is my relatable humour reel. This gets me on people's radars 🌻 Interest - this content shows that you know what's up. You are the go-to in your industry. This will be content that gets lots of saves. For me these are carousels 🌻 Evaluation - This is results-based content (screenshots + testimonials) and content that shows the human side of your business/brand. For me, this is telling my clients success stories. 🌻 Decision - This gives your audience a reason to buy NOW. Not tomorrow, not next week not after their tax return. NOW.   • Hashtags are so heckin controversial 🤣 Personally, I don’t think there’s a wrong or a right answer, it’s about finding what works for you. But I am pro hashtags (at this point). 🌻 A lot of people will say the SEO on Instagram works so well there is no need for hashtags. But have you ever tried to search for something niche? It always comes up with the most random results, I’m not convinced the SEO is 100% there yet. (Especially compared to that video app). 🌻 Many people will say only 5 hashtags. I tried this and got less reach when I used only 5. 🌻 My rule for hashtags is as many as I can find that are relevant. The above example had 20+ hashtags and 1223 people found my post from those hashtags. That‘s a heckin lot of people if you ask me. If you don’t know what to do with your hashtags start trying different things to see what works for you.

  • Goodbye grid pattern, goodbye puzzle grid, goodbye over edited ultra-polished content. You won’t be missed 😉 I recently read an article about how Gen Z have changed marketing and by heck they really did. “Social media consumption today is an infinite loop of inspiration, exploration, community and loyalty.” So what does that mean for content? People (not just Gen Z) want content they can relate to. And overly polished content just doesn’t do that. This is why so many founders now have a personal brand to show the nitty-gritty behind the scenes of their business not just the highly edited styled product photos. Let’s face it we are being marketed to from the moment we wake up to the second our heads hit the pillow. Traditional highly polished marketing looks and feels like marketing and everyone is well...over it. Whereas real raw content that shows behind the scenes, phone filmed videos, honest options, team members, highs and lows and everything else going on doesn’t feel like marketing. The more we consume the less we can stand typical selling (remember those infomercial TV channels?) That is not the vibe anyone wants. From lawyers to police departments and beauty brands, everyone is adding more flare, personality and humour into their content to keep an engaged audience. This doesn’t mean you don’t need to build a brand. Heck, it’s more important than ever. BUT you need a personable brand. If your gram grid follows any strict aesthetic pattern this is your sign to STOP not only does it work against a strategy it’s too polished for your audience. Wanna see how chaotic marketing can be?
