A contract between the University of Washington and UAW governs Student Academic Employees at the University of Washington. Salaried positions at ATMS, such as research assistants (RAs) or teaching assistants (TAs), are paid at the rates in the 2024-2025 Variable Rate TA Salary Schedule and 2024-2025 Variable Rate RA Salary Schedule, according to the graduate student’s academic rank.

Hourly wage paid for ASE hourly job titles hired in ATMS. Beginning on 7/1/24, the 2024-25 hourly rates increased to:

• Graduate student reader/grader/tutor: $25/hr
• Undergraduate RA/TA/reader/grader: $21.57/hr
