Brief Job Description: As a Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer at the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will play a crucial role in safeguarding national security by ensuring the integrity and robustness of positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems.
You will be at the forefront of Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR), working to maintain and enhance the superiority of DoD's PNT capabilities in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute comprehensive T&E plans for NAVWAR systems to assess their performance and resilience against potential threats.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies into existing NAVWAR frameworks.
Conduct rigorous hardware and software testing, both in lab environments and in the field, to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities.
Analyze test data, develop detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to improve system security and effectiveness.
Drive efforts to simulate adversarial attacks on PNT systems and develop countermeasures to these threats.
Manage project timelines, resources, and documentation to ensure that testing activities align with program objectives and DoD standards.
Required Skills & Experiences:
Bachelor's of Science Degree and/or 8 years of experience in a like discipline
3+ years of experience in PNT operations and application
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Skilled in developing test plans, test cases, and test procedures
Experience with developing data management and analysis plans
Understanding of test environment set-up
Experience in performing qualification and design validation testing of products and deliverables
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
Master’s degree in a like discipline and/or 8 to 12 years of experience in DoD space/cyber T&E
Deep understanding of PNT applicability to the Joint Warfighter across all domains
