Genuine question to financial advisers in Dubai who sell "regular savings plans" - "Would you invest in one of these personally?" Once again I've just received details on another regular savings plan that was sold to a client around 7 years ago. The basics are: - Client has invested £60,000 in regular premiums - Current plan Value is just £60,037 due to excessive fees (0% growth when the average client portfolio according to Private client indices is up circa 45% in this time) - Cash in Value is only £42,000 due to early encashment penalties. - 17 years until he can encash in full without penalty as this was sold on a 24 year term and was front loaded with commission. Unfortunately, I'm still coming across Client's every week being "advised" to take these products out. If you are looking for financial advice, please read the small print to understand the effects of commissions and product charges. This could save you a fortune!!

Not every enquiry you receive will be a good fit for your service. Traditionally, advisers/planners have qualified enquiries by calling or meeting the prospect, but that’s time-consuming. So, if it can be done at an earlier stage, the adviser/planner will save time, and it’ll help the person making the enquiry move on more quickly. So, how do we do that? Here are three options: #𝟭. 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 I can think of one planner who asks 10 detailed questions on her enquiry form, and prospects seem to be happy to complete them. #𝟮. 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 More firms than ever are asking us to build a fees page on their website. Those who do tell me that enquiry quality rises, and conversations about fees are much easier. #𝟯. 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 We haven’t seen any firms try this, so it’s just an idea right now, but I believe it could save valuable time. Practise before you "REACH".... ( and please dont Preach). Its easy to sit in cool AC classrooms, maybe, read some bestsellers and then, quote the likes of Aswad, Warren & Chris Woods. Eureka Moment : You think, you know it all...... Until, you have an interview & you are found sitting in a formal environment with older-serious looking folks, these mean guys mean "mean-business" and they quiz you with questions on current affiars, global developments & various numbers, again based on what you have on your own CV. YOU : you end up with numbing your nuts 🥜 as you know almost nothing.... My 2 pennies : Focus on "preparing and practising" before actually landing up for interviews and wasting the precious time of the interviewer. Sincere Efforts Shine through.....

Linkedin Account Suspended - Lessons Learnt. 1 When your account is managed by your EA and Marketing and then you access it from another country (Dubai) your account may be suspended. 2 Each interaction with LinkedIn takes 48 hours. 3 LinkedIn Drivers License is set up to US DL's not necessarily other nations 4 Passports or DL scanning needs to be done with VPN off as Linkedin wants to link your IP with your ID. 5 After two weeks of delays, getting annoyed with Account Suspension Support matters little and you will be asked to start the process over again. 6 Do it many times, and LinkedIn will demand a StatDeck. 7 When your account is suspended, people think the worst: are you dead? Is the company dead? Did you say something bad, etc.? 8 Conclusion: Use VPN for ID verification, and no, I am not dead :-)
