Colin M. Zeal and Ardor have yet to release the same album twice. This one had to grow on me a bit to fully appreciate it but it is right up there with their self titled. It is wildly diverse in sound and structure but also is cohesive. I think if you aren’t sure about Z&A this deserves two listens to win you over. Favorite track: are you the only one now?.

Gerippe Unsterblich if their previous album wasn’t everybody’s cup of tea, boy, will this divide people. free from the shackles of their previous ‘gimmick’, though, zeal and ardor are more experimental and adventurous than ever; without ever losing sight of the dna that made and makes z&a such an important and beloved musical project.
this is as much zeal and ardor as ‘devil is fine’, only the beast has grown. and all of us should be glad it did. Favorite track: Clawing out.
