The Partnering Framework is one blueprint for how the EDP team approaches #PartneringForImpact. The #PartneringFramework outlines six core stages in the process. Each stage includes specific tasks and tools needed to achieve shared goals. One of these stages is to identify the partners and stakeholders. Having a holistic perspective of all the stakeholders involved in a challenge leads to teams collaborating across silos. IN PICTURES: Together with GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science), we recently hosted the dialogue 'Harnessing The Power of Partnerships: How Civil Society Is Shaping A Better Tomorrow.' The discussions were deeply insightful, shedding light on the crucial role civil society plays in tackling South Africa’s most pressing social and economic challenges. What became clear is that civil society is not only a driver of social impact but a powerful partner in unlocking new opportunities for growth and innovation—benefiting both government and businesses. #SEF #SocialEmploymentFund #WorkForCommonGood #EmpoweringLives

South Africa's government of national unity (#GNU) needs to proactively partner with business, civil society, and professionals in a genuine "GNU-plus" collaboration to address the country's crises. So states William M. Gumede in an opinion piece recently published in the Business Day. This partnering approach, shared at the #Coalitions ThoughtLab at #EDPXChange, relies on co-governance, co-delivery, and leveraging non-state expertise to create effective policies and rebuild institutions. >>> For more insights from this and other sessions at #EDPXChange: https://lnkd.in/dvUzbFDV >>> Access the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dMeyve3d Rekgotsofetse Chikane Rushka Ely (She/her) Jaap De Visser Johann Mettler #PartneringForImpact

How can municipal leaders align their Integrated Development Plans with climate objectives, foster public-private #collaboration, and identify pathways for green job creation? This was one question explored at the KZN Provincial Dialogue which brought together key players, including the EDP, South African Local Government Association, the Presidential Climate Commission KZN EDTEA, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), National Business Initiative, and eThekwini Municipality. Together, these stakeholders explored the pivotal role of #LocalGovernment in enabling #ClimateResilience and #LowCarbon economic development. Focused on “Sustainable and Transformative Pathways,” this event fostered dialogue about the #JustTransition as a pathway to inclusive, equitable growth. Participants unpacked the Climate Change Act, governance strategies, and investment opportunities in key sectors like water, energy, agriculture, transport, the blue economy, and the automotive industry in KZN. By aligning local and national efforts, this dialogue session lays the groundwork for a shared position on the Just Transition. Together, we are shaping a future where sustainable development meets transformative leadership. #PartneringforImpact #ClimateAction #Sustainability #LocalGovernment #CrossSectoralCollaboration Lauren Arendse, Alexandrea Roberts, Rabelani Tshikalange, Dorah Kiki (EAPASA and IAIASA Registered), Dorah Marema, Zane Abdul, Dr Jenitha Badul, Thabani Gambu, Yuri Ramkissoon, Andrew Gilder Sean O'Donoghue, Silas Mulaudzi
