  • TOYOTA GAZOO Racing South Africa (TGRSA) is gearing up for the 2025 Dakar Rally. Known as one of the toughest motor racing events on Earth, Dakar 2025 spans nearly 8 000 km across Saudi Arabia's toughest terrain, with 12 gruelling stages, including the high-stakes 48-hour Chrono Stage and a relentless Marathon Stage. It’s the ultimate test of endurance, skill and reliability. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing South Africa will be fielding four top crews who will all be competing in a GR DKR Hilux Evo. The crews are: Henk Lategan & Brett Cummings Guy Botterill & Dennis Murphy Giniel de Villiers & Dirk von Zitzewitz Saood Variawa & Francois Cazalet Joining the charge are two overseas crews, Lucas Moraes and Armand Monleon, and Seth Quintero and Dennis Zenz, adding even more power to the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing lineup. “Dakar is the ultimate test of quality, reliability, and durability, and the GR DKR Hilux Evo is a shining example of these values,” said Glenn Crompton, Vice President of Marketing at Toyota South Africa Motors. “This event allows us to demonstrate the capabilities of our vehicles in the most extreme conditions imaginable. Toyota has proven the toughness of the Hilux in these conditions since 2012, making it the most popular car in the Dakar line-up."   • Last month, we saw the 2024 Paralympic Games come to a close. As a worldwide partner, we were immensely proud of everyone involved in making #Paris2024 unbelievable.  “Mobility for All” is our mission, and we were honoured to contribute to more inclusive mobility at the Paralympic Games.
