  • 🚀 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐬 ✈️🌍 When we were approached to create the visual identity for “An(other)”—a digital journal chronicling the experiences of an American expatriate in South Africa—we knew it had to resonate with both travellers and expats alike. Originally conceptualised as “An(other) Country,” the brief challenged us to capture the platform’s essence: Using Jahan Sharif's experiences abroad to "confront the conscience of Americans at home.” Our goal was to design a logo that encapsulated cultural exploration and personal storytelling. 💡 The Solution: We drew inspiration from the visual language of travel—wayfinding signs, tickets, and the familiar icons seen at airports and train stations. Our creative process led to a symbol that, at first glance, appears as a simple arrow pointing to a dot. On closer inspection, however, it reveals a figure in motion, representing the journey of self-discovery and adventure. The final logo embodies movement, exploration, and diverse narratives, perfectly aligning with the platform’s mission to share unique perspectives on life abroad. 🌐 We’re excited to see how “An(other)” continues to inspire readers worldwide with stories that connect and resonate. #TheCollective #LogoDesign #VisualIdentity #DesignThinking

  • Mental health isn't just about self-care; it's about community care. Today, on Global Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that mental well-being transcends individual struggles—it’s woven into the fabric of how we work, communicate, and live together. We believe in creating spaces where mental health conversations aren’t just welcomed—they’re expected. Because silence fuels stigma, and it’s time for businesses, leaders, and individuals to lead with empathy and understanding. Mental health is not a side note. It impacts creativity, productivity, and the way we build relationships. Let’s take responsibility, not just as individuals, but as organisations, to foster environments where support is the norm. #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAwareness #WorkplaceWellbeing #EmployeeWellbeing

  • When we were approached by Supriya Mody - a formidable female entrepreneur, CEO and Founder of FutureMe - to launch her global luxury skincare brand in South Africa, we jumped at the opportunity! FutureMe’s unique selling point revolves around the transformative journey concept, inspiring individuals to embrace personal growth and endless possibilities. Our goal was to launch the brand in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, targeting a very niche, luxury market. We did so through a strategic combination of bespoke events, social media content, influencer marketing and traditional publicity, to truly resonate with the brand's target market. Watch the video to see how we, with our strategic partners Grey Matters South Africa and Eclipse Communications, brought FutureMe’s vision to life 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓, connecting with an audience that values quality, efficacy, and holistic wellness. • It’s essential to pause and reflect on the true significance of Heritage Day—beyond just taking a day off and enjoying a braai. Celebrated on 24 September, Heritage Day is a powerful reminder of the diverse cultures, languages, and histories that have woven together to shape the fabric of our nation. It’s not merely a public holiday; it’s a day to acknowledge, celebrate, and take pride in the rich tapestry of South African heritage. Our heritage is not confined to the past; it’s a living, breathing part of our present and future. On this day, we are called to embrace our differences, learn from one another, and foster a sense of unity within our diversity. It’s a moment to remember the stories, struggles, and triumphs of those who came before us and to honour the cultural traditions that continue to shape our identities. Heritage Day also serves as a vital opportunity for each of us to reflect on our role in preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. Whether through the arts, language, or community traditions, we all bear responsibility in ensuring that our heritage is not only remembered but actively lived and passed on to future generations. While we enjoy the day off, let’s take a moment to consider what Heritage Day truly represents. It’s about more than braais and gatherings; it’s about recognising the depth of our history, the importance of unity in our diversity, and our collective responsibility to carry this legacy forward. At The Collective, we believe that honouring our past is crucial to celebrating our present and shaping a brighter future for all South Africans. As we mark Heritage Day, let’s recommit ourselves to the values of inclusivity, respect, and unity that this day embodies. Here’s to a day of reflection, celebration, and hope for a future where our diversity is our greatest strength. #HeritageDay #SouthAfrica #UnityInDiversity #CulturalHeritage #TheCollective

  • Looking back on Women’s Month offers an opportune moment to reflect on what this time has meant to us—both as individuals and as a collective. In South Africa, Women’s Month is more than a commemoration period; it’s a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and influence women wield in our society. It’s a time to celebrate the strides made towards gender equality while also recognising the work that still lies ahead. #TheCollective #WomenEmpowerment #GenderEquality #Inclusion #Diversity #Leadership
