My The Loeries week started by being co jury president for the Service Design, Social Impact and Effective Creativity categories. Thanks to my co president Emuron Alemu for driving the bus with me. What an incredible first-time experience at #Loeries2024! Huge thanks to Khensani Nobanda CM (SA) and Nthabiseng Hlophe Matshekga (MBA, CMSA) for this amazing opportunity. 🙏 I’m truly grateful to have been part of such an empowering journey. 💚 The Loeries weren’t just inspiring — they were a profound learning experience. Celebrating the innovative work across the industry was eye-opening. The masterclasses were a major highlight, offering invaluable insights into the future of creativity, storytelling, and brand influence. It was inspiring to see how brands are breaking boundaries and tapping into culture in bold, fresh ways.👌 Had an opportunity to connect with the IAB South Africa Front Row Delegates again which was incredible. 💚 A personal milestone was facing my fear and riding the Cape Wheel, thanks to the invite from the Open Chair, where I had the chance to engage in meaningful conversations with industry-leading women. Their stories, wisdom, and experiences were truly inspiring and will guide me as I continue to carve my own path in this industry. 😁 A huge congratulations to Nedbank for bringing home the Gold. As the nerves and hangovers begin to settle, we end another incredible celebration of creativity, courtesy of The Loeries. One thing is clear, if you walked away with metal, you can be damn proud of yourselves. The ideas were big, level high and the competition was fierce. Immensely proud of the accolades we picked up for Volkswagen Group Africa, AB InBev, KFC & City of Cape Town. None of which could have been possible without our Clients, Ogilvy South Africa teams, and partners, not to mention the "Marketing Leadership & Innovation Award" winner - Bridget Harpur. An incredible achievement. Those night shoots paid off. Next script opens on a beach in Mauritius. I might be bias, but I think our "Student" judging panel was the best. Thanks to the students for teaching us a few things and the Loeries team for assembling such a great panel. To all the agencies, please carve a space for a student to start their careers in your studio. You won't be disappointed. Congrats to everyone who converted their ideas into precious metal, and chin up to those who didn't. Tomorrow we all start again. Safe travels to everyone and thanks for bringing the vibes. Back at my desk after the BEST Loeries Creative Week I've had in my career to date and I can't help but to feel a surge of inspiration after the week that was. The creativity, innovation and passion displayed has reignited my drive to elevate my own work. Feeling incredibly honored and lucky to have been part of the judging experience again, witnessing the exceptional standard of work from both students and agencies. So ready to channel this energy into pushing the boundaries with my RAPT Creative Agency team over the next year.
