In November, Santam hosted an initiative with a group of male colleagues as part of Santam's participation in the Movember initiative—a movement dedicated to raising awareness about critical issues impacting men in our society. Movember is about much more than simply growing moustaches. It’s about fostering awareness, encouraging meaningful conversations, and driving action on the challenges that men face daily, including mental health struggles, divorce, suicide, single parenthood, gender-based violence, and societal pressures. Through Movember, we are actively working towards a society where men can thrive emotionally, mentally, and socially—free from the constraints of outdated and harmful expectations. Let’s continue to challenge these norms, listen, learn, and take action toward creating lasting change. At Santam, we believe in the power of community, support, and understanding. Together, we can make a difference, not just for men, but for society as a whole. By embracing vulnerability and leading with courage, we are helping build a future where everyone is empowered to be their true selves.

Santam Young Professional Network spent the weekend painting the playground and donated toys for the kids at the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children. Santam acquires stake in MultiChoice's general Insurance Business. Santam has concluded agreements with Sanlam Life Insurance Limited (‘Sanlam Life’) for the purchase of 60% of the A1 Ordinary Shares in MultiChoice Group’s (MCG) insurance business, NMS Insurance Services (NMSIS). Gloria Tapon Njamo, CEO of Santam’s Partner Solutions business, said the acquisition was an acceleration to the company’s strategy, which seeks to explore new market segments through partnering with other corporates. “A key strategic pillar and growth vector for Santam is partnering with companies like MultiChoice, which presents us with a unique opportunity to create substantial mutual value. With a base of approximately 8 million subscribers in South Africa, MultiChoice provides a robust and scalable channel for Santam to distribute tailored general insurance products,” said Tapon Njamo.
