Last week SA’s largest landlord, #Growthpoint Properties was mum about developing in Gauteng. The company’s SA #CEO, Estienne de Klerk told Property Flash on a Cape Town tour that the bulk of the group’s work was in the Cape. 👏 He said the #Sandton-based company would of course still look for #opportunities in Johannesburg but they looked costly currently and infrastructure and municipal service delivery were a concern. 💥 The gap over the past five years between base #rental growth rates at South African #shopping centres and consumer price inflation (CPI) is closing, according to the #Clur Shopping Centre Index for the third quarter of 2024.
