Enza Construction is proud to be part of the new student accommodation project at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Howard College Campus. On 18th November 2024, Marius Els, Principal Agent for GrowthPoint Properties Limited, officially handed over the Howard College Campus project to Enza Construction’s Divisional Director, Garth Jones and Contracts Director Terence Reddy. The sod turning ceremony was attended by eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, who described the project as an important milestone in transforming student life in the city. The development will provide 2,300 beds to students and play a crucial role in alleviating the student housing shortage in Durban. With an expected construction duration of 23 months, the project will generate approximately 1,200 temporary jobs during peak construction. KwaZulu Natal Department of Public Works and Infrastructure MEC Martin Meyer and Ethekwini Deputy Mayor Zandile Myeni officially handed over the Esplanade Government Building (EGB) to Enza Construction’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Clinton Crowie, at the sod turning ceremony held yesterday morning on site. The ceremony was officiated by Acting Head of Department Dr Vish Govender. Enza Construction is proud to be a part of the transformation of the EGB Building situated at the corner of Margeret Mncadi Road, formerly known as the Victoria Embankment.
