Wrapping up the festive cheer at Kasi Hero Foundation.   Our #CellCUnstoppables rolled up their sleeves to spread a little joy to the community of Pimville, Soweto. Yesterday, we proudly supported our partner, Primestars at their Step Up to Start Up program – as they crowned their 2024 entrepreneur bootcamp champions. Through our partnership, we’ve provided aspiring entrepreneurs with essential tools and resources, such as laptops, routers, and data to keep them connected along their journeys. By enabling access to online learning, mentorship, and resources, we’re empowering young innovators to turn ideas into impactful solutions that not only drive economic growth but also transform lives through the power of technology. Our Birthday Breakfasts always bring laughter, a spirit of connection, and joy! The gathering with our November Unstoppables was no different. The stories shared reminded us that they too, can't escape life's comedies and are full of amazing surprises. Imagine accidentally wearing two different shoes to work, a Rubik's Cube genius, an orchid lover, and many more that give so much colour to our people, that they are more than their jobs and titles. Standing together against gender-based violence. Cell C has joined forces with TEARS Foundation to ensure survivors of GBV have 24/7 access to support through the TEARS Crisis Line. Over the next 12 months, Cell C will be funding recurring SIM packages, enabling free crisis intervention, counselling, advocacy, and education for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, ensuring those in need have access to vital resources and support, all year round. Following the devastation left by the recent floods in some parts of our country with damage to infrastructure, Cell C decided to partner with Gift of the Givers Foundation to do our bit in restoring some of these key facilities. Today we officially handed over four newly restored clinics to the communities in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. This was a fantastic collaboration with Gift of the Givers that will ensure meaningful, lasting change, providing citizens with access to the essential care they need.
