Theme Features

Boron is a no-fuss, simple and clean theme. Borders and lines keep things in order, while four accent bursts of colours bring in sparks of life. With a single click, the sidebar transforms into an about page for you to showcase everything visitors need to know about you.

Features

OVERALL

  • Choose four accent colours! These will be seen all around the theme.
  • Customised scrollbar, text highlight, hover tooltips.
  • You can edit the bold, italic, and linked text formatting.
  • Beautiful cappuccicons and feather icons.
  • Tumblr Controls can be black, grey, or white.

SIDEBAR + USER PROFILE

  • The sidebar vertically-centres itself on the page, and the height of the slide-out biography page adapts to the height of the content (Sidebar image + Description).
  • Upload a sidebar image with 180px width. Image will be resized.
  • Choose between adding a search bar or a short scrolling update space in your sidebar (to the right of the navigation icons).
  • The three sidebar navigation icons can be changed! I’ve provided 10 index navicons, 5 ask navicons, and 17 user info navicon choices. You can also manually edit them, choosing from the many feather icons.
  • Clicking on the “user info” navicon will slide out the user profile. This user profile adds a customisable space to showcase your name, pronouns (or any subtitle you want), social media, biography, and custom links. It’s a built-in about page.
  • Limitless built-in custom links. I recommend adding them in multiples of three so it looks good on the user profile tab.

POSTS & CONTENT

  • Supported post sizes: 500px only.
  • All post types are individually styled.
  • NPF posts support. (thank u ht i love u)
  • Tags on index: Choose to show or hide your tags.
  • Ordered lists have a few different options including Hiragana and lower roman numerals (details below).
  • For photo posts, a “high-res image” button will appear on hover.

IMAGE OPTIONS

  • Favicon: The lil’ icon that appears in your browser tab. Enable the custom favicon option first.
  • Sidebar Image: Appears in your sidebar.
  • Background Image: Could be a wallpaper, or a repeated background.

ON/OFF TOGGLES

These are on/off toggles. Options chosen for this preview are in brackets.

  • Custom Favicon (off): Allows you to upload your own little icon that goes into the browser tab.
  • Wallpaper background (off): When toggled on, it stretches your uploaded background image across your whole blog background.
  • Show tags on index (on): When toggled on, tags are always seen.
  • Truncate note count (on): Truncates note counts in permalink from 4264 notes to 4.3k notes.
  • Show post type (on): Indicates the post type in the permalink (e.g, “photo with 20 notes”.
