Cut it out! Candace Cameron Bure and her husband, Valeri Bure, are a match made in '90s sitcom heaven. The 37-year-old Full House alum opened up about her spouse during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, March 20.
"He actually learned English from watching Full House," Candace said of Valeri, a 39-year-old former NHL hockey player. "He's Russian and he came to this country when he was 17." (Candace starred as D.J. Tanner on the ABC sitcom from 1987 to 1995.)
Candace met Valeri through her Full House costar Dave Coulier. She told Access Hollywood Live that it was "love at first sight." They wed in June 1996, and are now parents to daughter Natasha, 15, and sons Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12.
Candace is currently competing on Season 18 of Dancing With the Stars, and says she has her family's — and Full House family's — support.
"[They've told me,] 'We're proud of you, we're so happy for you,'" Candace said of costars Coulier, John Stamos, and Bob Saget. "They'll be at the show."
