Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour went searching for love on Bachelor in Paradise, but the real magic began when they found each other. Godwin joined season 6 of the ABC reality show in the summer of 2019 after striking out on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor. Barbour, for his part, previously competed for the affections of Hannah Brown on season 15 of The Bachelorette. The couple's relationship had a rocky start with Godwin first showing interest in Blake Horstmann — but in the end, Godwin chose Barbour and the twosome got engaged at the end of the season. Godwin later teased the duo's plans as they prepared to tie the knot. “For our wedding, we’d just want it to be personal, like, as close-knit as we possibly can. We want to just keep it personal and small," Godwin exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2021. “I think it’ll be more enjoyable and we won’t have to be greeting people the whole time essentially. ... Barbour popped the question to Godwin on a beach in Sayulita, Mexico, during the show's season finale.

The pair celebrated their engagement five months later with their fellow Bachelor Nation stars including Hannah Brown, Jed Wyatt, Katie Morton, Demi Burnett and Mike Johnson along with NFL stars Bruce Treggs and DeShone Kizer.

March 2020

The couple told Us that they were enjoying self-isolating together amid the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s rare in our hectic lives to have so much of time together, so it’s nice to focus on each other right now,” Godwin said, to which Barbour added, “This time has shown me that we’re excited to take the next step, and that we need a puppy!”

July 2020

The twosome celebrated their one-year engagement anniversary with tribute posts to each other. “What a whirlwind,” Godwin wrote via Instagram. “Thanks for the most epic year of my life @dylanbarbour. I never knew I could be so happy, to many more!”

Barbour, for his part, wrote, “Happy 1 year anniversary to me telling you how f’d you are for agreeing to marry me.”

July 2020

Godwin told Us that the coronavirus quarantine made her want to move in with Barbour as soon as possible.

"Getting to spend more time in San Diego has definitely made me realize how much I love it and getting to spend more time with Dylan makes me realize how much I love coffee in bed every morning,” the reality star said at the time. “We are definitely on the hunt for a bigger San Diego place that we can both call home!”

Godwin told Us that they aren't "rushing" their wedding plans because of the coronavirus pandemic. "So, the wedding planning journey I put to a little bit of a pause just with COVID and everything," the Alabama native said at the time. "And we're trying to wait to see what the state of the world is going to be in the next year or two. So, for now, I'm Pinterest boarding it and saving photos and we're talking about it and getting excited about it. But, I think that'll just make it even more special when we're able to actually have our big fun day."

Barbour and Godwin officially moved in together in San Diego. “Forever roomie,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Moved into our new zip code today, more decor content coming soooon :) thanks for all the positive vibes.”

The TV personalities celebrated the holidays together in Wisconsin. “The Godwin’s wishing u a merry Christmas and a happy holidays,” she captioned an Instagram pic of the duo in a hot tub.

"People get so, like, angry," the model joked in an interview with E! News, explaining why she and her fiancé haven't yet tied the knot. "They're like, ‘When's the wedding already? What's taking you forever?' ... We're chillin’. I think why we've been kind of cool with just chillin’ is because, like, we have a mortgage together. It's funny how people get so angry. One day we'll give it to them and they'll be really excited, hopefully."

Barbour chimed in, revealing the pair were eyeing a spring 2023 wedding date. "It takes 12 months to plan a wedding, but we're not gonna get married in the winter," he said. "We did look at venues. We have a planner."

“We were planning on maybe doing, like, a romantic date night or something like that [for Valentine's Day], but scratch that because I think we might have to last minute move into our new house, which we’re so excited about,” Godwin exclusively told Us on February 11 at the Revolve x H. Wood Group “Homecoming Weekend” party. “It’s a real world [date]. We’ll be able to eat our food, all of that … we’re really excited."

Barbour, for his part, teased a special gift for his fiancée: “I think what I’m going to do is a lot of love. [That’s] what I’m going to give her — lots of hugs, lots of kisses, lots of love.”
