LeAnn Rimes
Lately making headlines more for her infidelity than her music career, the country crooner rose to fame at the early age of 13 when, in 1996, her debut album Blue reached No. 1 on the Top Country Album chart. Followed by several more successful country albums, Rimes attempted (and failed) to crossover into the pop music market in 2001 when she released her sixth studio album, I Need You.Rimes’ personal life has been a constant source of turmoil. In 2000, the singer sued her father, claiming he and her former manager stole more than $7 million in the previous five years (which was settled in 2002). That same year she filed suit against her record label, Asylum-Curb, in order to receive permission to be released from her contract early. In 2002, at the age of 19, Rimes married backup dancer Dean Sheremet, who was 21 at the time. Us confirmed in late July 2008 that the two had separated following Us Weekly‘s exclusive report that she had an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian while shooting the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall.
Despite months of denying an affair, Rimes and Cibrian have since gone public with their relationship, taking a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in August 2009. Rimes and Sheremet’s divorce was finalized in June 2010. Rimes and Cibrian wed in April 2011.
