Julie Chrisley
Julie Chrisley was born Julie Hughes in Winchester, South Carolina, in January 1973.
The former pageant queen relocated to Georgia when she married Todd Chrisley in 1996, becoming a stepmom to his kids Lindsie Chrisley and Kyle Chrisley, whom the Georgia native shares with ex-wife Teresa Terry. Julie, who welcomed the couple’s eldest son, Chase, later that year, went on to give birth to daughter Savannah in 1997. In 2006, the Chrisleys welcomed their son Grayson. They were granted custody of their granddaughter Chloe in 2016.
The TV personality was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and underwent a double mastectomy and later entered remission. Professionally, Julie, a realtor and businesswoman, collaborates with her husband for his real-estate business. She also has a passion for cooking and shared her skills on her show What’s Cooking With Julie Chrisley.
Julie and her family were launched into stardom with the 2014 premiere of Chrisley Knows Best on USA Network. The show focused on the couple’s marriage and the family’s daily life. Four years later, the pair started their podcast, “Chrisley Confessions.” She has also made appearances on Growing Up Chrisley.
In 2019, Julie and Todd were indicted on tax evasion, bank fraud and conspiring to defraud the IRS. The couple were found guilty in November 2022 and Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison, while her husband received 12 years behind bars. Julie began her sentence in January 2023 at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
